Ever in doubt if you chose the right career? Take a career test before you drown in student loans…

debt

A career test is to measure your characteristics, such as: aptitudes, interests, values, and personality. Based on your test results, it calculates careers that would be a match for you.

The first time I took a career test was when I was 75% into my Biomedical Science degree, OOPS too late I was doomed.

I knew I could get the grades, but the passion was so not there. I was wondering of what life would be without the medical field, and I just couldn’t figure it out. I went to my school’s career center and a counselor/advisor suggested that I took a career test.

AHH! let me tell you, looking back I could say the test was pretty much accurate, but I was not ready to let go of my useless degree. To be fair, I did learn a lot and I was challenged by some of the classes, and I am proud of myself for that, but now I am drowning in student loans.

Anyways! lately I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed with all those business ideas, and again I decided to take a career test. I googled free career test and many options arise. Some of them wasted my time, because they wanted me to buy the complete report at the end, but I found the one on LiveCareer.com and the Holland Code career test  to be what I personally was looking for.

Basically, I was just reminded that I could be great at doing what I’ve always wanted to do in life, so no more wasting money in degrees I don’t want or need. It’s all about sticking to what I love and work hard at it, and I am happy to know that I am  on the right track.

What am I doing?

I am looking into classes to further my education in my area of interest, which is event planning, but in the future I would also love to add interior design to my resume.

Have you ever taken a career test? if so do you think it helped in choosing the right career for you?

It is never too late to go after what you want.

xoxo
